A lot of people in North Yorkshire are very interested in the old
Vintage Tractors. The owners often meet up and go on a tractor un for 20 miles or so around the North Yorkshire villages.
They also try to raise money for good causes. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Leukaemia funds are often the beneficiaries.
The tractors are a fantastic sight and on this rally at Hen Flatts Farm, Cropton, North Yorkshire there were around 70 tractors. Watch out for a tractor run if you visit North Yorkshire!
The Vintage Tractors all gathered at Hen Flatts Farm and they were treated to hot drinks and sandwiches by Sandy Hutchinson and his family.
It was quite a sight when the procession of 80 tractors set off.

Local farmer and tractor enthusiast, Ken Hall from Cropton, North Yorkshire recently found this fascinating artifact. The metal 'etching' was of the WarAg effort during the Second World War. The image is of tracotrs ploughing Appleton Common, near Kirkbymoorside. On the back of this etching' there is a label 'Tractors at work amongst bracken and furze'.
This artifact came wrapped in 1940's newspaper. I am not sure if they were a common item, or a one off, but anyone that knows the area can recognize the trees in the background. The tractors look very similar to the one above at the Ryedale Folk Museum.
Can anyone shed any further information about this item?
Nothing stops these tractor boys! Here we have Ken Hall & Mark Grayson braving the water at Yoadworth, near Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire. This photo was taken on a charity tractor run for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in May 2006.
There were around 124 tractors participating on this run. Ken & Mark are both driving Nuffield tractors and Dennis Wood is driving the green tractor.
