Here are a few more snowy photos of Cropton. The photo below shows the "Cropton Palm Tree" covered with a little snow. At the bottom of the main street there will be two new semi-detached houses built during 2009-10.
 
 
The Cropton Chestnut Tree looks a little bleak in winter, without it's leaves. 
 
  
Cropton is around 450 feet above sea level, but the distant North Yorkshire Moors are nearer to 600 feet above sea level. Sometimes they get snow on the moors when Cropton is clear of snow. The extra 150 feet must make a big difference!
