The peaceful, unspoiled village of Newton Upon Rawcliffe lies 4 miles north of Pickering, complete with a small pub and playground with all-weather surface for tennis, basketball and football.
"Hillrise Cottage" is a semi-detached cottage (owner next door for that personal welcome), tastefully modernised to a very high standard but still maintaining many original features. Electric storage heaters throughout (included in rent) making it a warm cosy cottage.
The fully fitted, well equipped kitchen includes electric cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and all utensils, with access to a washing machine and tumble dryer by arrangement.
The cosy sitting room with colour tv, dvd and video, beamed ceiling and stone fireplace (electric fire), leads into the dining room with beamed ceiling and original cast iron fireplace. Also available are books, games and radio/cd player.
The bathroom comprises wash basin, toilet and bath with shower over, shaver point and heater.
To the rear of the cottage is a large garden and paddock area. Perfect for relaxing with Garden Furniture provided. Private Parking is available.
Hillrise Cottage and Newton Upon Rawcliffe are an ideal base for visiting coastal resorts, walking the moors, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, fishing, horse riding, theatres and cinema. A wealth of stately homes, museums and many other heritage attractions are within each reach with lots to do for the whole family, however your own vehicle is necessary as public transport is limited in this rural area.
The nearest supermarket is in Pickering, with excellent shops serving local and organic produce.
